A young family relocating from Charleston bought a home in North Raleigh with a serious mission to replace a dated kitchen with a strangely dysfunctional layout. We helped them rework the footprint, removing a wall and creating an island. Custom cabinetry in a warm putty color, fluting details on custom cabinetry and millwork, and a combination of natural soapstone and porcelain counters made this project a hardworking but gorgeous study in textures.
